Kabaddi is a team sport. The game is played between two teams of seven players. The objective of the game is for a single player on the offence side to run into the opposing teams half of the court and tag out as many defenders as possible and return to their own court without being tackled by the defenders all in a single breath. There are benefits of the sport like increasing endurance. Since the game requires constant chant of the word Kabaddi in a single breath it helps stretch out your breathing capacity. This sport requires you to be quick on not only your feet but also quick in terms of reflexes and thinking. The running, kicking, dodging in the game leads to stronger muscles and agiler movements of the players. This sport calls for pro-activeness; crisis management and understanding the opponent’s strategy which helps enhance your presence of mind. Proper fitting clothes, a good pair of shoes, arm and knee pads are a must during the game. Also it is important for the players to keep themselves hydrated at all times.
